What Happened

Having viewed Black and White’s new road bike reputedly worth over £5k we left the Greyhound in a northerly direction. Grimemaster’s Geko could not.recognise where we were so was switched off but Munch managed to remember most of the route unaided. The usual teenage drinkers were at the first funny gate and we soon realised why we usually travel south on a Wednesday. A visit to Sunhill police station impressed first timers and we were soon at Plough Lane ready to make our way south again. Unfortunately the riverside path was closed after about quarter of a mile. The security guard was not a local and could not suggest an alternative route so we had to retrace our steps and pick up the route by Haydens Road Rec. PPS taken in scenic park before Colliers Wood. It was now time to light up and take a few diversions to Figges Marsh and on towards Mitcham where a small detour led us into the town centre and further evidence of urban ‘erberts. Mitcham Common provided the muddy bits for the evening then it was on to the tram stop, through the sewage farm and the windy path through Beddington Park.

No seats at the Greyhound but we stayed for the first pint which turned into the second and third and a few of us managed to find a chair.
