What Happened

Despite the promise of heavy rain nine grimesters set off from TCS on time at 7:10 for a brisk ride to Ranmore and Polesden Lacey. An event free ride across Epsom Downs, up to Ranmore and across the fields to the bridge with the drop off steps. Gadget took the steps with easy only to suffer a TF as a result of a spectacular follow through. Flash also encountered Mother Earth in the woods over exposed roots. The started the rot as the Guvnor snapped a gear cable at Polesden Lacey. Gadget supplied a replacement but the tools let us down, with an inability to cut the frayed cable. This was eventually accomplished and the new cable inserted. However, as so often happens (not often enough!) it went in the wrong hole, this meant the new cable had no effect. The new cable became the old cable no better than useless. The GuvNors gears had to be fixed in 7th gear for a ride home on a triple speed.

The Grimemaster had to pump hard up the horses arse and eventually suffered a true PIT. Leaving the GM behind in true F**K him style the crew raced back to the Rat in a attempt to reach the pub by 10pm. on arrival at the Rat we discovered that the Spinner had missed the start by minutes and had shadowed the ride most of the way.

Once at the Rat there was much excitement about the forthcoming trip to Afan. The GM calf injury appeared to have improved increasing his chances of attending the weekend ride from 30% at the beginning of the ride to 50% in the Rat. As more beer was applied to the injury this further increased until the final Oban single malt finished him off at 100%! Monk gave a us a full demonstration of his hernia, including a cough and drop experience. on that note the evening came to a late conclusion some time after 1 am!
